Just curious if anyone else finds this pretty astonishing,  just a guy named Bireli Lagrene ( my idol ) improving and having some fun with the crowd.

dang.. that was pretty sweet. WOOOOOW!

...Though, while technically any practice would lead to improvement, i believe the word you are looking for is "improvising"

some awesome bass and sax playing as well! they have such a tight groove together

i especially like how they keep such perfect rhythm as the crowd attempts to clap and sing along and absolutely butchers it.

Leo Kottke, Tommy Emmanuel, Albert Lee, Bruce Mathiske, Martin Taylor,  are great.

Would love to see Ed Gerhard, John Mclaughlin, Martin Simpson, etc.

For those Eddie Vedder fans, "Water on the Road" - his DVD concert from 2 years ago at Washington, DC's Warner theater was released a few weeks ago.  His whole concert is strictly solo with him playing acoustic, electric and his ukelele.  The only only exception is at the end when Liam Finn plays drums on "Hard Sun" - and, he's hammering on the drums.  I've found it to be a great "chill" DVD.

Also, I thought I'd throw this out there ... has anyone hear of Govi?  He's a German acoustic guitarist that is quite talented, also.  I love his works and have about 4 of his CDs.

Without Bireli, I'd be lost.  I've been playing gypsy jazz on the guitar for a few years :\  Check out all the other styles he plays, metal, fusion, classical, gypsy jazz, mainstream jazz, blues, latin, you name it odds are good there is a video that is equally amazing of bireli playing that style.  @wink, let me know what you think of this video, Encore of his performance that night playing in a blues-ish style sorta...idk what it is but then again you will say that alot when you listen to bireli.  He will mix multiple styles into one song , very hard to classify sometimes hehe, slide guitar blues style without a slider :\

If you enjoy Bireli, look up Stochelo Rosenberg and the Rosenberg trio, Adrien Moignard, Andreas Oberg, Jimmy Rosenberg, Romane, Angelo Debarre.  Glad at least someone enjoyed it :)

Anywho, that entire Super Guitar trio concert was amazing, check google video for the entire concert.  Definitely one of the best fusion guitar concerts ever.  Larry left Meolas guitar band and went to play with bireli after this hehe

Check this one out as well, btw Bireli is without question the worlds best bass player, i wont comment about his guitar skill heh, but he is also an incredible singer and violinist

An AMAZING video, one of my favorite performances of his

Also one of my favorites, playing with Stochelo Rosenberg and the rosenberg trio, Chic Coreas Spain
