Soooo, to make a long story short. I had a pair of Sennheiser IE8's that I somehow lost. Last week I purchased a pair of Westone um3x which I absolutely adore.
Right now I'm pairing them with an Iphone 4. The SQ is very good, but I feel like I could improve it somewhat. The biggest problem I'm running into with the iphone is that it's only 32 gb and between apps, pictures and music, I just don't have as much room as I would like on it. All my files are 320k bitrate mp3s.
Since I just upgraded my IEM's I'm thinking I want to either:
A) Stick with the Iphone 4 and buy a good quality amp and LOD
B) Purchase a Cowon J3 32gb with the microsd card slot I would have plenty more room and probably better SQ(?) than Iphone 4
Mainly I listen to 90's alt rock, metal, classic rock, rap, and some pop. Which of these above two choices would I hear the most improvement? Thanks.
