My old Sony X1060 is working now but home button not functioning

Yesterday I resurrected my old Sony X1060 after it malfunctioned due to getting caught in a rain storm 3 weeks ago. I recently replaced it with another Sony X1060 32GB for £100 at my local electrical store. Anyway after resurrecting my old X1060 everything works except that the home button doesn't function at all. I opened up the unit but everything seems to be connected.

 

Any ideas.

I would post this on DIY section, but I would suggest either using a logic probe or multimeter connected to the connection from home button switch to the chip, and see if there is change in signal.  If there is, then I would think you need a circuit schematic to dig into it to find the problem.  Post a picture also on the DIY forum so we can help you.
