On a less silly note, I always configure the X-Fi through Creative's software. There is just 1 little option in the Windows control panel's sound settings that let's you adjust the amount of speakers. If this is set on anything but "stereo" it will conflict with Creative's setting. You have to sync these two to get the best result.

I understand the setting you're talking about, but if you never fiddled with Windows control panel in the first place, that issue would never have come up. And Creative software can sync speaker settings.

 

And that "R" repetition sounded like a pirate wink.gif
