Recable disaster

Hi, I recently tried to make my Audio Technica ATH-M50S cable shorter, and I kind of screwed it up and I realized that I can't do it....is there anyone in this forum that offers a recabling service for this headphone? I don't want to throw it away, and I'm sure someone with the right know-how can make it work again...Thanks!

cyberspider, i tried to send you a pm, but it doesnt go thru so ill just post it here....

I basically tried to shorten the cable by cutting the cord and trying to resolder the ends, instead or reterminating the headphone jack. Ive got pics of what I did:

Is it possible to repair the damage? I was thinking maybe its possible to resolder the wires back on the earcups? I dunno, lemme know what you think! Thanks

Yeah you can just strip the cut ends and solder them to the drivers. How competent are you with a soldering iron?

Edit: be sure to add some strain relief before you put it all back together!

I wouldn't trust myself with doing this.
