Recently got a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6. After installing the MixControl app, things were working very well. I plugged in my guitar, and the results were very low latency (not noticeable) and the results sounded the same even if I changed the buffer size in Logic. Plus, even with many plug-ins being used (an amp simulator, a compressor, a noise gate, etc.) the latency was still really low.
My problem occurred a little bit after this. I installed the Focursite plug-ins that came with the CD, and after a restart things didn't work so well. I opened Logic, and after hitting "monitor" the sound I got was very late and crackly/harsh. Even selecting a different buffer size didn't help. Though oddly enough, sometimes if I waited a little, it would return to low latency. But this is severely unreliable, to wait for it to work.
Does anybody have any idea what's going on?
