Yeah the pencil might be, I'm not sure. Mybe it's a combination with parts in normal stereo and binaural ones?

I remember reading that a surprising number of records have an instrument or two recorded binarually.  Surprising when you think that there aren't any.  I had posted that on some album I had been listening to, the rhythm guitar sounded like it was coming over my right shoulder.  I can't remember what album it was, but it was a strange effect because otherwise, it didn't have much sound stage.  I remember even turning around to see if someone behind me was playing a guitar.

I found an old post of mine and I just said it was a track on Putumayo's Music from the Coffee Lands.  I'll give it another listen to see if I can find it again.
