I just got an iphone and while I am not happy about it, need to use itunes to share media files with my computer.  Over many years I have built a music library (80% flac, 20% mp3) as I have rarely used a mobile device and would just convert a few songs to mp3 whenever I thought I would use my mp3 player (maybe 2 or 3 times per year).  Now since I have a phone that supports mp3 playback, I want to have a separate media library of all mp3 files for use on mobile devices.  So I copied all of my mp3 tracks to a new folder and converted the rest of my flac libary to mp3.  I have 2 folders one "music" has my original files and 1 "mobile media" for my iphone.  Unfamiliar with itunes, I set the media folder location to the mobile media folder thinking that itunes would only import files from there.  However, after realizing that I had more songs in my itunes library than in my original library, I found that it was importing all of the mp3 files from both the "music" and "mobile media" folders as well as mp3s from other locations on my computer that I do not want in my itunes library.  How to I limit the auto-import to just one folder?

I am sure this is really easy, I just dont know what to search for.

Thanks
