Sony TA-F550ES - noise coming from left channel

Hi,

 

I have this lovely Sony TA-F550ES amp that I want to use for watching movies on my big screen with a headset. The problem is that while the right channel is crystal clear from noise, the left channel has a moderate noise sound coming from the amp. I have tried another headset with the same result. The noise coming from my laudspeakers is normal for both channels. Also, the noise doesn't increase when I turn the amp up, strange? I have also tried to disconnect all the imputs wires to the amp.

 

I guess it's somehow defect, but what do you guys think of it?
