Got my E11 in yesterday, and finally got a chance to open it up. Posted: Tue Jun 21, 2011 5:25 pm
The case it comes in. Very nice:
Extras included the manual, 3.5mm cable, USB cable, and silicon band:
Hi/lo gain switch, and 3 position bass boost:
Audio input, and headphone output jacks:
Close up of the on/off/potentiometer:
That "button" on the bottom is the battery cover release. If you look closely on the lower left of the case, you can see a slot to insert your fingernail into, to pull the cover off while depressing the button:
With the case off:
Two levels of working voltage option:
The silicon belt:
Indicator light on:
Size comparison with the E7:
A quite delicious combination:
Been using it a bit. I hooked it up to my Fuze first, but didn't like the sound coming out. Not the amps fault, I just have my settings on the Fuze, and the E7 to go hand in hand.
Then I plugged my N2 into it. Yep, this is where it's at. I was still partial to my Fuze, but now it could easily head the other direction. I have my N2 set on one of the BBE settings. MP I believe it is. Set the E11 to position 2 on the bass boost switch. (the bass boost is subtle, but still a notable difference) Freakin' excellent. I can't believe the sound difference.
The gain was set on low, but I set in on high for even better sound. I do notice a little hiss between songs with it set on high, but doesn't bother me in the least bit. As long as I can't hear it during the song, no problem.
This amp was a prize, so the price was right, of course, but even if I wouldn't have won it, I would still buy one. If you own a Nationite N2, you wouldn't be disappointed in the difference it makes. Still new to it, but I'm very impressed with this little device.
