I have a package that was sent out April 18, and it has not reached my buyer! I dont know what to do??? I talked to USPS (it has no tracking,im dumb) and it has left the country, so their is not much they can do. The buyer has filed a dispute with PayPal (my first, and last transaction with them) and they are wanting me to pay the $500+ to them. I need to get my package back or something. Ive tried to call the French embassy, but they just direct me to the website. Im extreamly fustrated, and this has been my first promblematic transaction.

You've basically got no recourse, especially with no tracking. What Paypal would do is probably refund the buyer for the transaction, nothing more.

It sucks, dealing with customs/without tracking number is a disaster. There's nothing to do.

Did you offer the buyer the option to pay extra to purchase tracking and insurance? If you did and the buyer declined to save a few bucks you should show the evidence to PayPal. May or may not work but it is worth a try. I have gone through this although in my case I had purchased the tracking and insurance, regardless I do not ship overseas unless I know the person.

Did you buy insurance and if you did not you learned a lesson. You cant send anything overseas without insurance. A Custom inspector may be enjoying the item. If you bought insurance file a claim.

The buyer could of had whatever he wanted, i would of been more than happy to abide. Im going to scan the customs receipt and the regular receipt and send them to PayPal and the buyer.
You better believe i learned a lesson

you can try calling the customs at the main airport in Paris: +33.148626285, not sure they'd speak english, though.
FYI, all parcels from USPS get a new internal tracking number as soon as they reach France..even the cheapest USPS "first class mail" does.
if you have the LC_US USPS tracking number, the french post office should be able to track it and give you their internal number.
you can try to reach them at +33.969397398(not sure it'll work from abroad, though).
