I guess that the Baby-Soloist (Soloist SL) is a terrific match with the HE-500. I have his big brother the Soloist and this amp sounds wonderful with everything I'm throwing to it...

The Soloist SL is 599€

I don't think so. Get something mere powerful. What is your budget?

I might try the Topping TP-60 from the speaker taps at some point, but have other things to use my money on right now (have tried my Rega Mira 3 already. Sounds great, but with a bit too forward mids).

Topping TP-60:

I use a Lake People G100 and think it's a great combo. You could get a G109 or G103 depending on how much you want to spend:

Sorry! rolleyes.gif

I think I would pick the Audio-Gd NFB-11.32 (haven't heard it but have an NFB-17.2 DAC that I like very much).

I tried them with my iFi Setup, including iCAN Headphone Amp (225 squid in rip off britain).

The sonic results where excellent. The ergonomics and build quality of the HE-500 did not work for me at all though, at that wonga.

You can cop a read here:

I wonder if anybody tried HE 500 with Matrix M Stage.. Does M stage have enough power to drive HE 500 to its full capacity?

It drives them fine (not at full potential)

the Soloist/Conductor does.
