So... I am wanting to jump into the world of DJ'ing now that I finally found something that I like.

I have no experience at all, but I was advised by friends that it is best to buy good equipment from the start since it avoids costly upgrades or can either be resold at a comparable price. However, I am also a student so money is a limit, probably around $1500 CAD.

With that in mind, I have been considering a few things; mostly used so I can get the good stuff while keeping costs down.
Hopefully you guys could give some advice smily_headphones1.gif

Deck: Denon DN-HS5500
Mixer(s): Korg Zero4, Korg KM402, Behringer DDM4400, or Behringer DJX750 Pro

I am considering the Denon decks since they are beastly from what I have read online. (although discontinued but still supported)
The mixers I am considering are all 4 Channel mixers since the Denon does 2 layers per deck.

Now the tricky part... software. I have no clue what would be best for me: Serato, Virtual DJ, Ableton, Traktor... too much and most of it is too pricy tongue.gif (note software not in total budget, but probably allotting ~$400 to it)

Hopefully some DJ's here on Head-fi can help me out smily_headphones1.gif

Thanks for reading all of that nonsense above
