E10, new USB DAC ( updated with photos of real E10 ) - Page 3

So basically this is a desktop version of the e7?This has the potential to be a great entry product for someone not planning to go mobile, very sleek and sexy  atsmile.gif Is this going to be equally as powerful as the e7?

Not, it is a new mini desktop USB DAC, personally I love the design , LOL.

The different is

E7 only support 48k/16bit, E10 support 96k/24ibt

E7 have build in battery, E10 is powered by USB

E7 use digital volume control, without gain switcher, E10 use potentionmeter and with gain switcher,

E7 use TPA6130 as amp, E10 use AD8397

The only similar is both use WM8740 ad D/A

So its even better than the E7?  Thats a steal at  $80, I'll recommend this to my non-audiophile friend then atsmile.gif

X2

I'm currently looking for my first amp right now, the E10, along with the E11, E9 and a few others are currently being considered.

The ETA of E10 will be in Oct, and so far everything is just fine.

Glad to hear it's going fine. Btw, the rear panel view of E10 would be nice. wink.gif

..Just a quick (albeit noob) question. I'm planning to build a desktop rig (most likely an M^3) to accompany my modded Grados come end of this year, and am looking for a decent (read: not high-end) DAC to accompany it. Would this fit the bill? The chain would look something like: laptop running JRiverMedia -> E10 -> M^3 -> Grado. Also, is there a difference between line-out and headphone-out? (In the iPod, the lineout bypasses the internal amp, would this happen to be the case as well?)

Thanks (:

E10 will be a good solution for people who wants a 96k/24bit USB DAC in affordable price ,  but it is not so suitable for us to comment any products of the third party. also it depend on your budget and your taste for the music.

The line out will bypass the build in Amp section. and of course there are difference between line out and headphone out.

Thanks for the updates. How will this product fare against your e15? Is there any ETA on when the e15 will be launched?

Thanks.

Any updates on those pics?

Can't wait for this, hopefully it's going to be a good alternative to the uDAC.

IMO, there should be an update after the FiiO X3 (FiiO's upcoming DAP, looks very promising) thread is updated, the X3 is a lot more anticipated and the lack of updates has caused serious derailing in the last few pages. Its still DAP related but its gone to an apple player discussion.
