If you already have a computer - DAC setup set I would go for software.

That would definitely be better space wise. I am just having trouble finding a good one for mac. I just found "Hear" by joesoft mentioned in another thread. I think I will try it out. $50 isn't bad if it works well. If you have another suggestion I am all ears.

I will happily admit to be the LAST person to talk with about computer software for audio stuff :)

Maybe try a free one to see if you like the concept of the thing first. Some people do wind up hating EQ even though its so useful.

I really like my Lambdas but the highs feel overblown. I have to turn them up higher than I like to get the mids in the right place. At that point to highs are piercing.

On the subject of this thread, it is very disappointing if they are actually discontinuing the BHSE. I keep going back and forth on buying it. I think I am back to no. I do really want it, but if in 3 years it is not available, I am sure I will be plenty happy with a WES or A-10. In my head I was thinking, if I sell my LCD-2, SX-950, and SRM-T1 I can buy the BHSE and not spend too much money. The problem is then I only have one pair of headphones, and lose opportunity for future upgrades.

I am they.  I don't think anyone knows what's going to be around in 3 years.

I suppose that is true, it is hard to predict the future. I am not sure I understood the first part however. Are you confirming you are stopping production on the BHSE?

Edit: Never mind, I figured it out. I'll take that to mean you do not have immediate plans to cut the amp, but are giving no promises on how long it will be available either.

I am in the process of trying to increase it as quickly as I can, within reason.  I have no plans to stop building it.  Only reason I wouldn't be building it in 3 years is if I was offering a superior amp at the same price.

OK, That helps a lot. I will very likely be buying an amp from you in a few years, and appreciate the info. Now I can feel a little more comfortable in my decision to save money and buy the amp after graduating. I appreciate you chiming in.
