But it also begs the question: Which port do I use. I saw multiple ports at the back.

Port? Surely you mean slot, as the Audigy cards use PCI slots. You can use any of the available ones, unless any issues arise.

I think he means on the card itself... green is the headphone out like usual on soundcards that have it color-coded.

Oh biggrin.gif

Well, like RPGWiZaRD said, those cards are color coded, but anyway, it has etchings that show what goes where. Usually the green socket is the front stereo output.

The Audigy 2 ZS back then was considered one of the best cards for the money. Obviously now it's not high end, but still is a very good card.

There was a software mod that allows it to become an Audigy 4 as well.

Agreed.

Though, the soft mod isn't necessary as it doesn't unlock any DSP features, nor does it make the Audigy 2 sound like the Audigy 4 Pro, which has better components.

The audio output is the 3.5mm plug furthest from the weird external box plug, I am using a Audigy 2zs Platinum Pro currently.

OH NO! I went to the KX project site and read this;

The Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro ( THIS IS THE CARD I'M USING) is not fully supported yet. There are issues with the line in ADC.

24/96 support for the Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS cards is under development.
