Question about SAA Endorphine for LCD2 and HD800

My situation is now Like this.

I have a SAA endorphine cable for LCD2 and the combination sounds great.

I've heard before that the SAA endorphine match well with the HD800 too.

Instead of buying new cable for HD800 ,my freind tell me he has a way to this make this one cable useful for both headphones.

My question is ,is the SAA Cable for LCD2 the same as the SAA endorphine for HD800.

I don't know but I guess it's not the same in the first place, maybe some different configuration for each headphones.

Can someone please help.

BTW I recommend SAA endorphin to someone, who is looking for aftermaket cable for LCD2.

At least compared to the Zeus Ohno CastCu Hex24 and apursound V3 ,the Endolphin is for me the best of these 3 following by the Zeus (Zeus is great too ,it opens the high of LCD2)

I would be surprised if one cable sounded good on both the LCD-2 and HD800 because I think you'd want polar opposite qualities in the cables.

You can email James at SAA. He is very helpful and responds quickly to your emails.

Alternatively Double Helix Cables make an adapter so you can try the LCD-2 cable with the HD800.

I end up trying to make an adapter for the HD800.

The reason, why I wanna try this because I used to have such an experience before with cardas cable, which is good for HD650 and surprisingly at the same time good for the HD800 too.

SAA Endorphin cable is not like Zeus cable. The endorphin seems to be more neutral and adds not as much treble as the Zeus (Much treble  is actually a good thing for LCD2,but my amp seems to be bright, that's why I've found the endorphin better than Zeus in my case)

After I've done with the adapter,I will post my impression here, I hope and guess that the Endorphin will suite both headphones.

P.s 1  thank for the input guys

p.s 2 I really admire the SAA Cable,it's the first time that I really enjoy my LCD2. ( ahhh I've always enjoyed my LCD2,but Endorphin just really make them better)

Glad to hear you like the Endorphin. I have a HD650 Endorphin which i am just about to get SAA to reterminate for my LCD-2. They are indeed impressive cables if slightly expensive.

And Finally I got my adapter (male HD800 to Female LCD2)

Endorphin Cable for LCD2 paired with HD800 sounds cleary  better than  HD800+cardas for HD800.

like I suspected the endorphin is a quite neutral cable,it just enhances the sound quality of the headphones and doesn't try to make the treble brighter like the Zeus cable..even it is configured for the LCD2 ,it still sounds better than the cardas for HD800.

I will take a photo of the adapter soon.

Note I think if someone have more than one headphones and want to invest for the after market cable,my idea is not bad,go for the pricey cable and then make an adapter for your headphones,I just sold my cardas cable for HD800 and Zeus cable for LCD2 and just use the endorphin for both headphones. You need to tweak a bit and you will get a very good results for both your headphones. But just keep in mine ,not every cable will sound good for your headphones,in my case I don't think the Zeus will sound good, when paired with HD800.
