Reliability (or lack thereof) of iPod technology - Page 2

I received a 30gb iPod 5g for my birthday years ago.  It survived for 4 years after being dropped a good 100 times, dropped into puddle, and being abused.  I dropped with from 5 feet onto concrete and it only dented it.  Though after 4 years of abuse, the HD died (from being dropped too many times) and the battery life sucked, but those are easily replaced.

I have a 5G 30GB iPod, too. It spends 99% of its time connected to the iPod connector in my car. Still holding up fine.
