My Clip+ won't turn on...... Help me?

I have ALWAYS LOVED my Sansa Sandisk Clip+ so much.  It played excellent quality music, it was extremely portable and I loved how it looked.

I was listening to it one day, and it started randomly freezing and lagging randomly when I try to skip to the next song. This started happening one day, and I usually just waited for it to stop freezing and then it would eventually come back and play the song. One time, the screen went blank and nothing played.  It would not turn back on.  I reset it, and it worked again.
However the same happened the next day, and I reset it, but it would stop at the Sandisk logo at startup and stayed like that.  I reset it again which turned it off but now it won't turn on at all.

I tried:
Plugging it into my PC

Plugging it into an outlet

Holding the power button down for at least 30 seconds

HELP!?

I miss my music already.

Try holding the power button down for 30 seconds? Completely drain the battery? Reformat? I guess it's the nature of the beast, every portable i've had has had its share of glitches, i was just happy it worked.

I tried holding down the power for 30 seconds, and it would not turn on.

How can I completely drain the battery or reformat if it will not turn on?

This is my third Clip+.....

I am starting to question whether it would be worth it to purchase another if it will just malfunction after a short time period.

Does it get noticably warm when you leave it connected to the PC as if it were charging?
