I'm a complete newbie to using SDHC cards. I suppose I'll go out & get a 2 or 4 g card to play w/ on my Laptop. I'm running Windows XP, what utility do I open to format the card (To fat32 right?). After that do I load the music right to the card while it is still in the Laptop or do I insert it into the player first? Sorry for all the questions, I normally download user manuals before I get the actual item. I don't think I can do that from Head Direct. Thanks in advance. (I'm a keyboard dummy also, which key did i hit that changed this font? I does look ok though...hehehe!)

Normally the card comes already formatted. You can either load files while the card is in the computer or with the card in the player and the player connected to the pc with the usb cable. The latter is also how you load the build in 16GB

Thank you. I don't think I want to place any files onto the onboard storage space for the immediate future. I may change my mind but I'd like to at least try it like this for a while.(Junor Headfier? that's pretty funny, who comes up with this stuff? just a cause um new ya does'nt have ta call me junior!)

It seems some member whom have a less stable PC tends to get into trouble when they keep trying to plug their HifiMan in and out on the PC's USB port (without proper removal on PC, you might corrupt internal data on the player). If there is no real reason why you need to connect you HM602  (like using it as DAC) onto your PC, just load the file onto the SD card, then plug it onto the HM602 for music. It is easier and safer on the long run if you are not quite sure about your PC skill.
