I live near Vancouver, I have to say the news doesn't do a lot to really paint the true picture.

Sure there was a lot of drinking and young angst teens who will simply follow the other sheep in the herd. What was quite evident is that this was all a planned escapade by the same anarchist idiots that disrupted the G8, Olympics etc running around in face masks, hoodies and the like. This time however, they wore the same masks and donned Canucks jerseys.

What pisses me off is the fact because of the organized few (i.e. masks, fire extinquishers, Malatov cocktails brought downtown) can then incite a crowd of brainless twits to join in and amplify the situation.

Please try and keep some perspective and don't assume it was a case of hockey fans feeling it was time to revolt. That's just misinformed conjecture, which is the objective of these organized anarchists.

To the OP, I don't believe anything came out of the downtown core so W.Broadway is quite removed.

Ice hockey. Isn't that the sport that allows 2 competitors to drop gloves an beat the $%#£ out of each other while the crowd slams beers and bangs on the plexiglas like 5 year olds at the zoo watching gorillas mating?
