New 702 cable?

I was looking at shorter cables for my AKG k702 and there are tons of choices out there can anyone help me narrow down the selection?

I ordered from Russ Andrews in the UK. The cable itself is Kimber GQ-24Cu.

Cost is US$70.12 + shipping for 2m (a bit over 6ft). The Cardas Fat Pipe would have cost me US$200 + shipping for 6ft. The local dealers in Singapore are charging even higher than the prices I have listed.

Please note that I have not tried the Cardas at all. Ditto for Stefan Audio Art. I chose the Russ Andrews/Kimber purely on a decision to stick to a lower budget so I could allocate some more money towards another amp.tongue.gif

Which, today, turned out to be the Schiit Lyr. k701smile.gif

Hope this helps. (Please burn less of a hole in your wallet. Seriously!)

Hi, this one is 3m long and £17. The site also links to the colied cable from the K271, which will also fit and is about 1.5m. The 5m reference is streached.

i could be wrong here but me thinks not so the answer's NO the cable as shown in the link wont work for D702s. reason being one needs an mini XLR female & not the regular XLR as shown. go search ebay for mini XLR cables to TRS or K141/K270/K270 compatible replacement cables as they all work off the mini XLR connector.

No that cable will not work because you need a mini-XLR cable, and not only that it will be extremely thick and unwieldy dangling off the AKGs.
