A Fix for my LIttle Dot I+

Thread Starter

Hey DIYers, so I have this Little Dot I+ that I messed up cause I was using the wrong tubes on the wrong setting, 6ji's on the 408a setting.  Anyway, here are some pics and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some of these resistors in the US and if anyone was willing to help solder them on, I'm thinking of getting my own solder and learning to solder, but we'll see.  I also emailed David and he said that it might not fix the problem... I'm not sure why it might not though?  Any thoughts on that?P1010919.JPGP1010920.JPGP1010921.JPG

Resistors are available everywhere. Local electronics shops will have them. Online, Mouser and Digikey are great.

However, you might have cooked off some of the chips, too.

If you haven't worked on an amp before, you probably shouldn't. You have to discharge caps and will probably have to disconnect a lot of stuff to get the PCB out. Hiring someone to fix it might cost more than buying a new one.

You might be better off selling this one as scrap to someone who can fix it and buying a new one. Sorry.
