Help! What cables/setup would i need for this amp?

Hi everyone,

 

I have been reading along for a few months, and i decided to buy a Headphone and use a Amp i still have laying around with it.

 

Buuut, my knowledge is almost zero with plugging this kind of equipment in, and i would like to know how this works before the equipment arrives.

 

My setup:

 

Soundcard: Motif XF Expansion, Firewire : Backside = http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jan11/images/YamahaXF7_04.jpg

Headphone Amp: HA-8000 Behringer: Backside = http://www.behringer.com/EN/images/lightboxphotos/HA8000_P0185_Rear_XXL.jpg

Headphone: DT770Pro 50 Ohm Beyerdynamic

 

Right now, i have cables running from my Motif Stereo Output going to my KRK monitor speakers, and got the Motif XF soundcard connected to the Comp,uter with Firewire.

 

 

The question: What kind of cables do i need, and how do i connect them to use the amp and headphones on this system?

 

This may sound like a very easy question for you, but for me .... im really unfamiliar with these amps.

Most of us won't have a clue either. This will bump it for you anyway.

You look like you'll need some 6.5MM male to RCA female adapters;

Here is a link to a high resolution so somebody more knowledgeable can see the connection on the XF7 better. It could be a good idea to post your KRK speaker model or at least confirm it has balanced inputs.

Yes, the KRK's have balanced inputs.

 

Isnt it just as simply by putting a cable from the motif headphone jack to the amp, and then from the amp to the actual headphones ...?
