Stereophile's new online news and review site http://www.innerfidelity.com/ has posted a review of Eddie Current's Balancing Act. Headphone fidelity reviewer Ryan Clarin gave the BA "2 ears up" saying that no other manufacturer still in the business has been as consistent a home-run hitter in the tube amp department. Once again, Eddie Current has pushed the design envelope significantly while keeping cost within human reach.
For those not familiar with Eddie Current, the review also serves as a retrospective, giving a history of the product line and its roots in Moth Audio. Here's a link directly to the review: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/eddie-current-balancing-act
But if you just want to know what the impression was on Eddie Current's newest amp, here's what Ryan said:
"I’ll cut straight to the core of my sonic impressions and flat-out declare this amp, easily heard within the first few minutes of listening, to offer the most expansive, most realistic soundstaging of any headphone amp I have ever listened to. Its damn right other-worldly, and is simply instant transportation into something very hard to describe but easily heard and felt."
