All are extremely beautiful pictures.... but I think the fireworks take the cake.

Thanks! Hopefully I'll have an opportunity to take some new pictures soon, and then I can add some more to the thread.

My attempt at a stitch. Results are promising.

Three photo stitch, 200mm lens, merged in hugin, edited for contrast and B&W in Paint.NET.

I finally got around to doing some new stuff, with a bit of a snag. I was planning on visiting the MSU butterfly house, but I couldn't find it, so I ended up wandering around in the horticulture gardens instead. I did find a butterfly, but it was simply flying freely.

I attended the Michigan Renaissance Festival this week as usual, and I decided to try taking some pictures of the joust this time. I used my theatre lens, the 70-200 f/2.8, and took about 250 pictures which I boiled down to 40-odd picks. I'll post the best of them when I'm finished editing, but here's a sort of teaser image:
