Hi!
I was hoping I could glean from insight from the other members here on what would be the next best upgrade path for my audio setup.
I currently have:
M-Audio Audiophile 192 Sound Card
M-Audio AV 40 Studio Monitors
Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones
I have the headphone plugged into the earphone jack on my AV 40's.
Some of the issues I have currently with my setup are:
1) The earphones are terribly uncomfortable for me. They clamp my head too much and I can't wear them for more than 45 minutes.
2) When the earphones are plugged into the AV 40's, there is slight sound leak coming from the speakers when the earphones are turned up to about 50% which sort of defeats the purpose of having noise cancellation headphones. The earphone sound is way too soft if it's under 50%.
3) The bass on the headphones is very low. If I plug the earphones into an amplifier, they sound much better.
Would a headphone amp such as the FIIO E7 improve the sound of the headphones?
Should I just go for a new pair of headphones instead?
