could someone please advise me on the above?

in the advanced tab for my spdif (coax) settings, the drop down menu allows selection from

16 bit 41000hz all the way up to 24 bit 192000hz!

i am currently using the 24/192 setting.

but am i gaining anything when all i play is flacs ripped from cd(eac) in foobar with wasapi.

thanks

It won't have any effect at all in that case. Those settings only apply to the Windows mixer, which is bypassed when using WASAPI.

Those setting just tells the windows operating system what the maximum setting that your outboard DAC can handle from that Digital output device. In my example where my Juli@ audio can can output 192k sampling rate but my outboard DAC Behringer Ultramatch Pro SRC2496 can only go to 96k. Also I limited the output formats to just PCM digital, no DTS or Dolby audio is to be outputted to my SRC2496     otherwise it will howl big time. It is a safety feature for my monitors.
