Its a shame too. Technically, women tend to have better hearing than men.

Don't have a link, but have seen this numerous times and believe it to be true.
On my youtube channel statistics, only 4% of viewers are women.
My wild guess it that women are more willing to listen to the subjective art of the music rather then the objective quality of reproduction. Sort of like there are far fewer automotive mechanic females than males. I guess being a "gear head" is mostly a masculine stance.
I'm on a couple of adventure motorcycle boards and find there are far more women as a percentage than men relative to headphone boards.

Because headphones mess up their hair, known plenty of women into audio, will listen for hours through speakers, ask them to try the headphones and the majority look aghast, a bit like Leo when he had to wear the iron mask, LoL

Just because their not on Head-Fi doesn't mean there are none, I'm a female and i know quite afew others who are close friends into Audio, They all have over £2000+ Rigs but they just don't feel the need to go on a forum and rave about it all, No one has said it yet so i will, Men like to willy wave and women don't, I'm sure once i'am happy with my kit i will disappear down a into my cave again.

I only partially agree with this statement. We guys may like to "willy wave" as you put it when it comes to gear, cars and other gear oriented stuff but women like to booty shake it out there when it involves clothes and houses and stuff like that especially when it involves showing it off to other women in their social circle. Considering great headphones aren't considered a status symbol amongst women like fashion or a big house YET they don't bother to really flaunt it to other women.

Oh? When Solomon asked Onoskelis what her purpose was she stated: "I am a spirit which has been made into a body. I recline in a den on the earth. I make my home in caves. However, I have bla bla bla"
Stereotypes about gender roles are funny, but maybe there's something to it as in Jung's archetypes as I reckon much of the personality gets formed early (before one can speak) and gender as I view it is much about the culture. Estrogen and testosteron do play a part, but competition is in each gender group.. though it's played out differently. Men are more direct and confronting, women are more like drama and slander, muscles vs. brain, but, but.. dividing those aspect (beyond stereotypes) there's something about getting things done and what that is are of course up for a debate.
Bottom line is that when it comes to competitions the grand pecking order in the woman hierarcy are more brutal (mentallly) than what men (more pratical) do settle things.. in the open.. you know.. there and then, not nagging about it till the universe has reached the maximum entropy.
What's up with that?
