Reclockers to put between CD Transport --> DAC

I am about to build a semi high end stereo system and is considering using a separate CD transport and DAC.

I've read about reclockers to use between CD  transports and DACs, but Antelope's are way too expensive.

Is there some "cheap" on the market costing less than $US 1000?

Errr...you are looking at a master clock (the Antelope stuff) rather than a re-clocker......have a look at the stuff from Monarchy Audio (DIP) for something you can use between any consumer transport and DAC made today (and yesterday) for not a lot of money (relatively speaking).

Peete.

Ok... I've seen the Antelopes described as reclockers on other forums.

But thanks for the tips about Monarchy Audio. The DIP Combo is probably what I am looking for.

The cheapest reclockers on the market all run the 50ps jitter WM8804 SPDIF/I2S transceiver: http://hifiduino.blogspot.com/2010/02/programming-wm8804.html

Either this(but you need to provide a PSU and there's no case): http://www.twistedpearaudio.com/digital/wm8804.aspx

Or the Firestone Bravo(that has an optional linear regulated PSU): http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/496735/

I've been using the later for a while, it sounds amazing as a reclocker.

Thanks for the input. Hope others know of other products as well.
