I know most people put these amps inbetween their source and headphones. However the signal coming from most sources (i.e mp3 player and the ilk) are already amplified and can drive most headphones.
My use for building a cmoy is to take a signal from a pre-amp (high Z) and output to headphones (low-Z IEMs).
Is there any problem with doing something like this? This is my first real electronics project so I'm not even sure if what I said up there was right. I just know that the source I have isn't really designed to drive headphones and I need it to.
