Which mp3 player + headphones?

I'm in the market for an mp3 player and headphones (iem), hopefully together for <$300. I've never had an mp3 player so I don't know what to really look for. I'll mostly be using it in the gym and at work.

 

Some things I'm looking for:

good sound quality

durable

good UI

good battery life

the more space, the better (I have 28gb of music)

accept FLAC, MP3,Wav, etc.

drag and drop to load files on the player (no stupid proprietary software)

 

Any suggestions?

If you get the Sansa Clip+ and a 16gb SD card that leaves you at least $200 to spend on an IEM

I'm in the UK so excuse me if I get the prices slightly wrong.

But I understand you can get a J3 for a couple of hundred dollars and Audeo Phonak PFE's for slightly over one hundred.

It'd push your budget to the limit (especially as you'd probably need a micro SD card to bump up the GB a bit) but you would have a killer set-up.
