How to wire Avel transformers to Ballsie Lite and Opus DAC

Hey guys,

 

I'm in a pickle.  I finished my Bijou about a month ago and I'm without a good DAC currently, and I'm VERY close to finishing my Opus + Ballsie build.  The last thing I have to do is figure out how to wire the toroidal transformers from Twisted Pear. 

 

Can someone help me understand how to wire a transformer to the Ballsie, and how to wire a transformer to the Opus board?

What power supply boards are you using? And what's your wall AC voltage?

Bipolar PS board for the Ballsie, and Low Current Dual PS board for the Opus.  Both of these boards are Twisted Pear boards.  AC is US standard 110/120V.

110V to transformer

 - live --> blue + violet

 - neutral --> grey + brown

 

transformer to LCDPS / LCBPS

 - AC-in 1 --> orange, yellow

 - AC-in 2 --> red, black

Nevermind, you're not talking about output transformers redface.gif

 

I am confused why you even need the ballsie Lite.

 

Shouldn't you be able to do Balanced to unbalanced conversion using the transformers alone?

This is what gigawork "Big DAC" owners have done.

EDIT:  I just wanted to say that this allowed me to finish my DAC today so thank you.
