Best IEM's for around 50$??? Sennheiser CX500

I'm looking for a new pair of in-ear headphones. I'm looking for:

1. Best sound production possible
2. Strong bass

3. Decent comfort

I'm currently looking at the SENNHEISER CX500's, are there any other in ear headphones around the price that offer better bang for the buck? They will be driven out of an iPod. No amps, dacs, etc. 

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks guys!

The Brainwavz M2 are a great choice for a bass-heavy IEM. They go for around $50 on Amazon last time I checked.

I'm just replacing my second set of cx-500's now. They sound nice and rich, but on both sets, after nearly 12 months on each, the volume controller had failed causing either or both channels to fail. The 300's would probably last longer for what's pretty much the same driver. Minus a couple of accessories.
