Creative is having a 30% off entire store sale, so I said what the heck. Buuuuuut, these are conveniently out of stock now and there seems to be no way to add them to the cart and get the discount. They will probably be back in stock on July 5th, lol.

Edit: Yep, I cached the page and got the 149.99 in stock and added to cart. Then it gave me unable to add to cart BS. Creative, don't tell us it's storewide and have it listed on the actual product page "get 30% off this item". Just put the product page up after the fourth if you don't want to sell them at a discount yet. Bunch of game playersmad.gif

The Dutch Creative shop does have them, but no discount (€150, free shipping) :(

Storewide but anything new or expensive is "out of stock". New 16GB players, Aurvana  IE 3 and Aurvana Air etc. Big thumbs down. Mee has 33% off your order plain and simple just no combining discounts. Creative has 30% and fine, no Zen or outlet stuff. But then they cherry pick a bunch of stuff out. Then don't send me an email that it's store-wide and don't have a bubble on the product pages saying get this item 30% off.

"coupon codes will be displayed on pages of participating products" but good luck ordering them cause they aren't in stock.

Wish I could find a way to make them honor it when they are back in stock.

Maybe call customer service and order on phone.

They no longer have order by phone. Nothing on the site and I found this on the web..."It appears Creative no longer has a working customer service phone number since this number is now solely a recording. I had better luck with the Technical Support number below".

I know they wanna exclude it and I wouldn't waste more than the few minutes I already did. I bought something else interesting earlier today anyway. Better to wait for a few more impressions anyway. Not like I haven't been the guinea pig before. Not this time though.

Well the way Creative's customer service operates makes me scared to buy their products.

Keep this bumped and hopefully someone will take one for teh team.

Not that I have anything against the IEMs or that site (it helped convince me to buy a few things I love actually) but HardwareHeaven is definitely not a good source for audio reviews. (http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/1164/pg6/tritton-ax-pro-true-51-headset-review-conclusion.html 9/10 on performance for one of the worst sounding headsets I've heard in my life)

I ordered the Aurvana 3 on Monday and they have been shipped today. Sheduled arrival is between 11-15th July. I can give you some impressions when I receive them.

Was searching through the forum the last few days to find some hints for a replacement for my first-gen V-moda vibes which now have an almost broken cable near the plug. Then I stumbled on this post and decided to give the Aurvana 3 a try. I hope I won't be disappointed. wink_face.gif

Different reviewer and the person who reviewed the Creative has reviewed phones like the IE8 and Atrio so they have heard good earphones. Not that one review esp. by an "unfamiliar" should be given a lot of weight anyway.

Man, the cables look mighty thin on the render...

My take on this phone is that they borrowed from the big guys, namely Westone and UE and that is a good thing. Dual bore does work and should be used more in universals instead of just customs. The Westone design/shape is well proven and the W2-like driver configuration should be good. Hopefully more balanced and with more treble than the W2. A big win, IMO, if better sounding than the W2 and $150. Hopefully somewhere in between the sound of the W2 and the B2/DBA-02; not as dark as the Westone but not as bright as the DBA/B2 and with the detail level in between them. Really isn't too much to ask but whether they accomplished that level of SQ, I guess we'll find out as the impressions roll in. I also like the smallish straight plug and think the 3 happens to be quite nice looking even if not very flashy in it's appearance.

I think I read wrong or whatever before. The plug and Y are metal but I don't believe the housing pieces are metal.
