I'm thinking of getting a nice pair of open phones (been rocking some HD280s for years) and it looks like the DT880s have the sound I want. I have an Apogee Duet that I use for home recording and from what I've gathered it has a pretty decent amp so I don't think I'd want to spend more money on a dedicated amp. So, will the Duet adequately drive either the 250 or 600 ohm versions of the DT880. Which version should I go for? Or should I go for another phone altogether?
