oops, I messed up the order of my post, sorry! It should read: Nickel Creek. "Reasons Why" CD: Nickel Creek
wow I just found those at my county library!
Okay so I have to admit, I posted in here before I had secured an LCD2...but as of tonight, LCD2 R2 are on their way to me!!
I love this new one from Perfume Genius, "Put Your Back N 2 It". Its been on frequent rotation since a friend recently introduced me to it. His stuff is kind of low-tech, haunting, plaintive. My friend pointed me his way because he knows I love Antony. I actually didn't get the connection in terms of the way the music sounds, but I do like this guy very much. Great lyrics. Unique and talented.

Currently listening to his previous release, which I don't connect to as much thus far, but a first listen for me. There've been a few good cuts, but it more of distant and rough cut as far as acoustics and my system is very revealing which makes recordings like this a bit much - it almost sounds mono:
Interesting controversy over the promotion of the new album - YouTube refused to post the 16 second promo video. Here's a blurb on it that included the banned clip (good on Michael Stipe...shame on YouTube).
I love when that happens...
