accurate amp for HD650

I am shopping for a headphone amp for my HD650s. I have a presonus DAC I'm happy with at the moment and am leaning towards a tube amp.

I listen to a lot of classical, jazz and acoustic music. I play piano and guitar and sing and am picky about accurate response. I tend to go for a more neutral and uncolored sound but do want full range response, including good strings and horn sound.

My home speakers are B&W Matrix 802s and I use Mackie HR824 monitors on my computer/recording rig.

Would prefer to stay under $500 but will move the range a bit for a real sonic difference.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You might want to look at the burson Ha160 amp. I have the ha160d and it makes the hd650 sound awesome

Re: Lehmann: Their web site seems to be very nonfunctional. Can't get info on prices or retailers. What's approx price in US $ and who sells them?

Not sure about dealers but the price is likely to double your budget..

Experiences with the woo audio wa6 and HD650s?

The WA6 will do fine, but the WA3 might even be better as this is a 300ohm headphone
