Inexpensive recable of Sennheiser HD201 ?

I am on my third pair of Sennheiser HD201 headphones.  I love these phones, $25, neutral sounding, good soundstage and comfortable.

Interested in rewiring them and seeing if there are any sonic improvements.  Would like to spend less than $50 for cable and jack.  Would like to hear about cable and jack specifications and sources.

Is there a favorite inexpensive cable?

Favorite inexpensive 3.5mm headphone jack?

A favorite source for cable and 3.5mm jacks?

Anyone have experience rewiring HD201s?

Thanks!

Take care when you buy the straight silver Neutrik plug because it fits only with the Mogami W2893, the mini quad. Further this is more flexible as the normal quad cable and sufficient for your needs.

I am also going to order some Mogami again for another head-fier and for me because I cannot get this in Germany :)
