iPod Worth It...?

Thread Starter

Hey one and all.

So I was thinking about getting a 2nd gen. iPod Nano, as it's my favorite of all iPods, and I have some money to blow on something. However, I have gotten used to the sound quality of a Samsung P3 (more than 2 years, and still going strong). I mainly use the P3 for listening to music in my car, though I do occasionally listen to it with my Audio Technica AD700s (I love soundstage...!). Anyway, just how noticeable of a difference will the Nano be from the P3? I love high-quality music, but will the drop in quality be super noticeable via my car speakers?

Thanks. smile.gif

P.S: I can get a nice-condition one for about $70.

If you use the ipod nano line out then it may even sound better than the P3.

You are not gonna notice the difference via the car speakers...now, through your headphones, yes, you'll probably be able to tell.

Why get rid of something that works well for you? Keep the P3.

I'm not getting rid of it. Problem is, part of the screen has started to die, so navigation has been cut off a bit.

*I still love my P3, though I'm afraid it's slowly dying*

It's even worse when you do like it and it is failing.

Have you checked with Samsung to see if they can repair your player?  If it is out of warranty, they will probably charge you for the repair, hopefully not too much.  Then you don't have to buy the Nano and keep enjoying your P3.  =]
