Is the Musical Fidelity V-DAC a significant improvement over the Fiios e7?

I've currently got an e7 + e9, but unfortunately the USB isn't working out on my computer. Looking at the Musical Fidelity V-DAC since it has flexible input options.

 

I'm thinking of just running it into the E9's 3.5mm input, but could also change that to a different amp if needed.

 

Question is, will I notice a significant improvement in sound quality over the e7 with the same amp? I've got HD600s headphones.

 

Anyone out there tried both?
