Perfect IEM?

I just got a though, after I have finally listen to many few brand's sound signature, UE(600, TF10), Earsonics(SM3), Shure(215,friend's 425), Grado(GR8), Radius(Wn2), so on.

Why can't different brand come together, and make the perfect IEM?

UE, Westone, Grado - Highs

Shure, Earsonics - Mids

UE, Radius, Westone - Bass

Grado, Westone, ATH, Etymotic - Details

Earsonics, Grado - Soundstage

ATH - Build quality

Monster - Outlook Design @.@"

Westone - Fit design

Now what else, won't that be perfect?

Take everything good from those company(please comment to add),

then create a brand crossover IEM.

Just my random though. Tell me what you guys think.

If you add custom fit , that would be even better! :D

And i also like Westone's Cables.^.^

I think the new 215/315/425/535 Shure cable are better, at least from the face of it, it seems to be more durable, also the connector design to the earpiece seems to be better too.

Yeah but the Westone cables feel light and the fit makes it feel like if there is nothing in my ears.

True say, UMX are more comfortable

its simple really its because the perfect IEM may well be not perfect for you which is why choice is so wide. the perfect IEM is the one that fits you, the one that you like the look of, the one that you love the sound of and the one that will last you as long as you need. that is your perfect IEM and that is when you settle down and get a new hobby like... girls or something :0

but the perfect IEM for you is hard to find thats why we come here for advice and you will likely buy a few before you find it but when you do get out while you can because the urge to see if you can find something better will take your wallet and break it.

What you are describing is blend mediocrity.

I think some people with high-end customs feel they've gotten just that (me included). It's different for everyone, but do your homework, know what you want to hear and then you can find the perfect one for you.

Put custom driver into universal then??

Triple fi 10 and UM3x already do that, but they are far from perfect.

I liked the TF10 to a extend, it's bass and treble sparkle, BUT I want so much more clarity and detail form it, and the mids a recessed, Best IF TF10 highs and bass, Shure's 535 Mids, CK10's Clarity, detail and speed, UM3X's Fit

Put three Head-Fi'ers together and you'll get 9 different opinions as to what's perfect. Let alone all the different manufacturers. Perfection doesn't exist. It's just a ghost we all chase.

This.  I can pretty much guarantee you that my "perfect" has a whole lot more bass than yours...  atsmile.gif
