HD650 shipped in box with NO PACKING MATERIAL

I am furious right now.  I purchased a pair of HD650s here from a fellow headfier, but when I received the package, I noticed that when i was holding the box, I could feel the headphones jiggling around inside.  I took pictures of my unboxing.

The seller did tell me that the headband had broke, but I was going to have sennheiser replace those for me.  The seller DID NOT say anything about the DENTED GRILLS.  Actually, they arent just dented, they are THRASHED.  They are pushed in to the point that they are sitting on the BACK OF THE DRIVER.  Who the hell thinks its ok to ship a pair of 500 dollar headphones in a cardbox board box with ABSOLUTELY NO PACKAGING MATERIAL.

My question is, what kind of damage can be sustained through the shipping process, and is it even worth me sending this set in for a service.  I doubt they will change out the drivers for a set of new ones if they were damaged at all.

That is utterly shocking. Who on earth would be stupid enough to do that?

Well I can certainly see why you are furious! I would be too. I sell a lot of headphones and I even put bubble wrap over the box! I'm assuming that you didn't pay $500 for them, even so I'd send them back and demand a refund. Or name and shame. If you paid A LOT less then I'm sure they can be salvaged. As long as the drivers are ok. Good luck!

That's pretty unacceptable. I would contact the seller and go from there.

I paid 200 for them.  I thought they would be functionally fine, and I could send them in later on for a replacement headband, but this is ridiculous.  My primary concern is for the drivers because I guess the other stuff is cosmetic.  Even then, I dont know if Sennheiser would bother checking out the drivers or replacing them.  THey coul just opt out of the repair and offer me a refurb pair at 50% off.  If that is the case, I would rather have bought a pair off ebay or the forums here for significantly less.  Full service I believe is 65 dollars, and for 265 total, Im not sure if this deal would be worth it.

These were not purchased from IceClass.  These were purchased from Yaozilla, who has no feedback.  I should have known better.  I havent had a chance to plug them in because he did not include the adapter like he said he would so I could test them out with my setup at work.

My bad, looks like there may still be a tube amp for sale as well if anybody else wants to get screwed over. I was also ripped off by a Head-fier from Texas, banned now and hopefully forever. I'm not saying anything bad about Texas, I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

You can see that the grills are a bit dented in the sale photos.  Shipping like that is still totally unacceptable though.  There's no excuse not to at least pad the box with packing foam or bubble wrap.

Grokit, I strongly suggest you delete your post #6. It's only fair to the Head-Fier you incorrectly pointed a finger at. You don't have a dog in this fight, don't insert yourself.

Having checked out the link; of course putting something in a box just like that is retarded, but look at the pictures. It clearly shows the dents and just the general condition the headphone was in before it was shipped. I honestly don't know why you bought it to be frank :s

That's fine, but I was actually defending him by stating that he has established, positive feedback and that something like this would be out of character.

Before the Banhammer is Swung, Have you got in touch with the Seller? IMHO, this is just Unacceptable - asking 200 bucks for a headphone that is easily available in the FS Forums and Ebay and looks like a car ran it over is just highway robbery.

Is it Possible to Cancel your Payment via Paypal (if you used that media)?
