How to Connect Ipod to Reciever

Thread Starter

My reciever doesn't have any HDMI slots on it, only AV. Would I need the below wire to connect to my reciever? BTW, by connecting this way, would the ipod amp turn off?

Thanks and Best Regards

My computer doesn't have AV on it. Any way to connect my computer directly to my reciver?

The easiest way is to buy a 3.5mm male-> 2 RCA male adapter and you are ready to go (plus much much cheaper than that "authentic" apple product). Or you can buy a ipod line out dock (LOD) with 2 RCA male output for a little more bucks, should be better than 3.5mm to RCA.

Agree with above post.  I've been using this iPod line-out dock for years with good results: http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pocketdock/lineout-usb.html

It sounds much better than using the line-out on the iPod itself, worth the investment. It comes with the cables you'll need too, which is a bonus.
