hi

as i went to boot up my pc today i noticed a loud hiss coming from my headphones.

this was before i booted up the pc.

the hiss stayed until i played a track on foobar.

shortly after i stopped the track, the hiss returned.

 

i then shut down the pc , and the hiss stopped.

 

as a rule , i never turn off the mains supply to my pc,dac or amp.

 

i cant see the pc causing this , as it was shut down, when i noticed the hiss originally.

so i suspect the dac.

 

any thoughts, anyone?
