Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions, appreciations, and cake (not included) - Page 9

Can someone post a picture of the vents on these? I looked at the 600-800-1000 comparison thread and the single large vents seem to be absent from the 600s.

There seems to a be a vent under the 'R' (right) and 'L' (left). Also, as expected, the EX600s are not made in Japan (but Thailand).

^ Wow, I didn't even check for the vents, since they seemed to have about the same isolation as the EX1000. Sloppy me.

Thanks music_4321!

Now to decide whether to get these in store for almost $200 or order them online for ~$150 :P

If the EX600s are really that close to the EX1000s - and I should find out soon - then the EX600s would not just be a great buy, but quite possibly the best bang for the buck phones at the moment.

Today I received a CD I'd been eagerly awaiting for over two months, a live recording from 1974 - no "loudness wars" going on here, you get plenty of dynamics and not just a hammering of loud noise. With the EX1000s this double-CD sounds just incredible. I've said already that bass on these phones is simply stunning, and the words that keep springing to mind when I hear the whole sound presentation are coherence and effortlessness. Simply superb.

NO.

Fake.  Don't trust Ebay, most likely fake. Fakes seems to exist looking at Ebay listings.

the US Ebay ones for 150~ look legit to me. Those sellers are really high rating.

Ok, I bought a pair because of the price on Ebay.  Lets hope I don't get a fake.smile.gif

Yea, I agree that listing seems legit. But I will be wary of ebay in the future with the Sonys. There aren't any reported fakes on the US ebay site but there will be as fakes have already been made.  When the fakes appear, they'll be priced even lower though.

Good, because if you don't I'm snatching them.
