New Soundcard: Asus,Creative or Auzentech

hey guys...

 

i got a little studio that i do singing really much and some recording and listening to music and gaming a bit too but am pretty much looking for a soundcard with really high end qulity audio.. so i been looking at those cards.. and also for fact. am using stereomix really much too to sing to :) so i was wondering what a rallly good highend card i can have and looking for. so i was wondering what you guys could recommend for me.. which card are good for the music stuff..

 

Auzen X-Fi™ Forte 7.1

 

Creative Titanium HD

 

ASUS Xnor STX

 

ASUS Xnor DX2

 

p.s i use a onboard soundcard: Realtek Audio HD

None of those will give you high quality sound imho. If you're serious about recording you're better off getting one of the Emu soundcards. They offer great sound quality for their price (you'd have to spend double to better it) and you should still be able to enjoy your general windows sound usage and games etc with it.

It's all relative of course. What's your budget?

 

I use an Asus Xonar Essence ST and absolutely love it. It sounds great out of the box (It'll blow your Realtek HD away), but if you want to tweak it you can replace the op-amps. I upgraded from a Creative labs Audigy 2 to the Xonar, and haven't looked back. I don't know how the more modern Creative cards sound though.

 

A word or warning though - there aren't any 3.5mm connectors on the card; It has full sized Mic and headphone ports, and a pair of RCAs to connect to your amp or speakers. What sort of sources/speakers would you be using?

budget: about 290 USD

 

i heard that the asus was betta then creative..  just that heard but and the with the jack 3.5 i got the bigger one a Adapter. and got XLR in my mixer.. but keep in mind i use stereomix very often i got no idea if it on the asus.. if someone could check..
