You know what you have to do now... take vengeance over the fact that you've listened to less (streamed) music and go overkill, listening to 2 to 3 hours in half an hour, compress time and space if you have to, but unleash the audio monster within...blink.gifph34r.gifvery_evil_smiley.gif

i was just wondering something. if anyone can report their findings. let foobar play a radio stream. unplug either the ethernet or power to your router or modem. does foobar stop or does it get "stuck"? ie, repeating a short passage over and over. everything is fine here but doing this simulates the problem i had before. loosing ones ip. i was wondering if foobar behaves that way on my network or in general. if anyone cares to try this thats great.

thanks

When doing a hard cut on an online stream playing on foobar, as soon as the buffer is empty, sound just stops, as clean as you can imagine. It should be noted that I'm using foobar2000 1.1.6 instead of the latest version, 1.1.7 at the time, as 1.1.7 has issues with online streams.

just an update. i am running the latest foobar beta. it is working perfectly. the problem i had was my isp decided to mess up my static ip package and refused to fix it. after a number of calls and technicians it was fixed some time ago. now with wasapi, foobar is on 500 latency and not a single stutter while using other apps for weeks! it also sounds plenty good.

Ah, great news indeed. And a very poor display of customer service from your ISP as well. But it's great that everything is sorted out. Still, I would increase the buffer, considering the specs of the machine itself.
