So, I'm really new to recording stuff and I have a question about sound cards. My computer has a Realtek HD Audio sound card (I think) and I'm running Windows Vista 32 bit with SP2. Last year I bough an M Audio Mobile Pre USB and it is now my current sound card and my speakers are plugged into it. My question is, is the M Audio sound card better than the one on my computer. Also, when I plug my Sennheiser HD280 headphones into the Mobile Pre, the sound is kind of crackly and poppy as compared to playing the headphones on my iPod. Thanks!
