Buttom based flac player with expandable memory

Hi Head-fi

 

I am on the market for a new DAP and was wondering if you guys could help me. I simply just got tired of Apple's itunes world and the fact that it can not play flac. and since that is what i have been downloading over the past few weeks i decided to check out the market for a new DAP. Something is that I would love to have the opportunity the expand the memory.

 

So what i want is a none to expensive player or just not in the priceclass of a Ipod Touch 32gb or Cowon J3

It has to be running flac.

I do not want a full based touch screen (buttom based or something like on the Sansa Fuze would be nice)

Expandable memory (like Micro-sd)

... reasonable UI

 

If you can help me I would be grateful and just thanks ... I open minded to any alternatives

I really like the Sansa Fuze ...

But which is best the plus or the none-plus

 

Can anyone with experience comment on that?

The general consensus is that the original Fuze is better than the Fuze+

Hmm, Sansa Clip+ (Rockboxed)? I had one of these but the headphone jack stopped working properly. So be weary I guess.

Is there something wrong with the UI for putting files in with an none-rockboxed fuze?

My vote goes for the Clip + or the Fuze, original.

 

Even if you get the 4gb ones and a 8, 16 or 32 gb micro card you will be set.  I have both and each is a 4 gb with a 8 gb card in them, also both are Rockbox driving my Klipsch Custom 3.  I did just order the E11 amp so we will see how that works out.

Thanks for the reply. It is either the Fuze original or clip, but i am worried that it might be to small.

I am going to use it with either a e7 or e11 ... e7= the DAC e11= Better amp
